Saudi Arabia: The Kingdom enhances its leadership in date production by more than 1.6 million tons annually

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture confirmed that the Kingdom has achieved a self-sufficiency rate of 124% in dates, and an annual production exceeding 1.6 million tons, through the expansion of palm cultivation, as its cultivation in the Kingdom covers a large area of up to 165,000 hectares, in a step that reflects the significant growth witnessed by the date industry in the Kingdom, which reflects the significant expansion in this sector according to the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
