The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA) announced that coffee exports have generated 1 billion USD in revenue over the past ten months of the current fiscal year. General Director Adugna Debela noted that 210,000 tons of coffee were exported to over 50 countries, showing a significant increase from the previous year. Efforts to expand market reach and promote Ethiopian coffee through fairs and exhibitions have led to notable increases in exports to China, South Korea, Sudan, and the UAE. Measures to curb illegal coffee trade and enhance foreign trade performance have also been implemented. Major importers of Ethiopian coffee include the U.S., Japan, Belgium, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.
