The European Union's soft wheat exports have seen a decrease of 37% year-on-year since the 2024/25 season began in July, reaching 12.18 million metric tons by Jan. 26. This decrease is attributed to competition from Black Sea supplies and a poor harvest in France, though missing data from Italy, France, Bulgaria, and Ireland has also impacted the export figures. Despite these challenges, Romania remains the largest EU soft wheat exporter.
