The European Union's agri-food exports and imports value increased slightly in the first eleven months of 2020 compared to the previous year, with a trade surplus of 56.2 billion euros. China, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Morocco were the main growth destinations for EU exports, while the US, Singapore, and Japan saw a decrease. The Covid-19 pandemic affected the export values of EU spirits, liqueurs, and wine. Pork and wheat continued to be the best-performing product categories, with pork exports valued at 2,120 million euros and wheat at 1,590 million euros. Other growing product categories included pet food, rapeseed and sunflower oil, and pasta and cakes.
