Ukraine's egg exports experienced a significant decrease in the first seven months of 2022, with a total export volume of 15.8 thousand tons, marking a 1.7-fold decrease compared to the same period last year. Despite the drop in volume, the monetary value of exports only decreased by 18.7% to $23.2 million. The main destinations for these exports were Latvia, Singapore, and the Netherlands, accounting for 29%, 22.8%, and 13.2% of the total exports, respectively. The decline in exports is attributed to domestic demand issues and a recent increase in chicken egg prices in Europe.
