In 2024, small and large sea bass prices remained high, while medium-sized fish experienced a slight price decrease. Trade volumes saw a small increase in 2023, with Greece leading as the largest exporter. Turkish exporters also experienced a 9% volume increase. Despite being a net importer, Spain became the third largest exporter of sea bass and bream, surpassing Italy. The main recipient of Spanish exports was Portugal, which saw its imports from Spain increase from 8,200 tonnes in 2021 to 14,100 tonnes in 2023.
