Olive oil in the EU has risen in price by 50% over the year

The price of olive oil surged significantly in the latter half of last year, peaking at a 51% increase in November compared to the same period in 2022. This trend has persisted into the current year, with all EU countries experiencing a rise in olive oil prices. Portugal, Greece, and Spain saw the largest annual price increases at 69%, 67%, and 63% respectively, while the smallest increases were recorded in Romania (13%), Ireland (16%), and the Netherlands (18%).
