By Isadora Duarte São Paulo, 05/26/2021 - The presence of bread, pasta and cookies in Brazilian homes increased last year compared to the previous year, according to a survey by the Brazilian Association of Biscuit, Pasta and Industrialized Breads & Cakes Industries (Abimapi ). The highest increase, of 8.1 percentage points, was observed in the consumption of industrialized breads, with 89.4% of Brazilian families purchasing the product. The survey pointed out that in 2020 99.7% of Brazilian families consumed cookies and 99.6% consumed industrialized pasta, such as pasta and lasagna. The result represents growth of 0.1 percentage point and 0.3 percentage point in comparison with 2019, respectively.
