Expansion of cultivation of Jeju broccoli new variety 'Samdagreen' and strengthening of consulting services.

The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Technology Institute (Director Ko Sang-hwan) announced that it will strengthen farm consulting to expand the cultivation of the new broccoli variety 'Samdagreen'. The Institute developed the new broccoli variety 'Samdagreen' in 2022. Resistant to diseases and pests and with excellent yield, 'Samdagreen' began cultivation in 2023 with a pilot test in 50 farms, and the cultivation area expanded to 47 hectares last year. The Institute is supplying 'Samdagreen' at a price about 30% lower than imported varieties. The Institute plans to conduct on-site, customized consulting to identify and solve problems at each growth stage to ensure stable production of 'Samdagreen'.
