The article provides an overview of the current state of fish product prices in Russia, highlighting stability and potential decreases, particularly for pollock and herring, due to factors such as restrictions on product acceptance at Chinese ports and increased domestic production of herring and cod. Despite a slight consumer price increase and regional variations, the industry faces challenges like low demand for Russian fish, with red fish being an exception, and efforts are underway to shift consumer preferences towards locally caught species. The Federal Agency for Fishery is optimistic about the domestic market's stability and anticipates a shift in demand for Russian fish products, supported by modernization programs and the establishment of new fish processing plants in the Far East.
