Analysts from Safras&Mercado predict a nearly 6% decrease in Brazil's soybean harvest for the 2022/23 season, dropping to 148.6 million tons. This is primarily due to unfavorable weather conditions in the state of Parana reducing production potential. However, recent rainfall since early January has somewhat offset this decrease by aiding crop development in certain regions. Despite a 2.5% increase in the planted area, the Companhia Nacional de Supply (Conab) estimates the soybean harvest at 146.86 million tons, marking over a 7% decline in yields.
