As of November 11, despite challenging weather conditions, farms in Zhytomyr region have timely sown 144.6 thousand hectares of winter grain crops, which is 96% of the projected areas. This news was released by the press service of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration on November 13. In particular, according to the operational data of the Regional State Administration, 129.0 thousand hectares of winter wheat have been sown in the region (95% of the forecast), 9.2 thousand hectares of winter barley (100%), and 6.4 thousand hectares of winter rye (100%). Additionally, 36.5 thousand hectares have been sown with winter rapeseed, which fully corresponds to the planned volumes. The largest sowing areas are traditionally concentrated in the southern districts of the region – primarily in Berdychiv and part of Zhytomyr districts, where favorable soil and climatic conditions allow for stable yields.
