The Jeonnam Sustainable Development Council (Permanent Chairman Lee Jae-seung) jointly held the "11th 2025 Honam Water Forum" with the Gwangju Metropolitan Sustainable Development Council, the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Sustainable Development Council, and the Jeonnam Environmental Industry Promotion Agency at the Mokpo Hyundai Bylaan Hotel on the 2nd. The forum, held under the theme "Inquiring into the Naturalness of the Honam Region's Rivers and a Sustainable Future," was attended by 200 people including members of the National Assembly, provincial assembly members, the Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office, the Korea Water Resources Corporation, the Korea Rural Community Corporation, the Jeonnam Environmental Industry Promotion Agency, and sustainable development councils from Gwangju, Jeonbuk, and Jeonnam, as well as provincial and municipal officials. The Honam Water Forum is an initiative by the sustainable development councils of Gwangju, Jeonbuk, and Jeonnam to address water issues in the Honam region.
