Vietnam's agricultural export industry, with a focus on fruits and vegetables, has seen a significant surge in growth in 2024, with the export turnover reaching 6.4 billion USD in the first 10 months, a 33% increase from the previous year and surpassing the 2023 record of 5.7 billion USD. This growth is primarily driven by the high demand for durian products, which account for nearly half of the total export turnover. The country aims to reach 7 billion USD in export turnover by the end of the year. The success of the industry is due to several factors, including the strategic location close to China, the diversification of export markets, and the increased demand for agricultural processing and packaging technologies. However, the industry also faces challenges such as competition from other tropical countries and the need to meet international quality standards. To maintain this growth, Vietnamese enterprises are encouraged to invest in advanced technology, build strong brands, and ensure clear traceability.
