Iran's National Date Association is considering implementing export duties on dates, potentially discouraging exporters and impacting export markets. The rural cooperative organization plans to increase these duties from zero to 50% starting next week until the end of June next year. This has raised concerns among market activists, exporters, and producers. The Ministry of Economy's Business Improvement Center has urged for advance notice of such changes. However, the rural cooperative organization insists that these duties will not be cancelled until unions and exporters commit to supplying the domestic market.
