In April 2023, Ukraine's agricultural exports fell by 31% to 5.3 million tons, marking the worst performance in the past 8 months, largely due to sabotage by Russia, import bans by Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Slovakia, and logistical issues. The most significant decline was in oil crops, followed by cakes after the extraction of vegetable oils. However, vegetable oil exports remained stable. The fall in export volumes affected all groups of agro-industrial complex products, except for vegetable oils. The resolution of export deliveries to neighboring countries and the establishment of the 'grain corridor' could potentially improve the situation.
