The Eurasian Economic Commission has imposed a temporary export restriction on buckwheat from Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, until August 31, 2021. This measure, intended to regulate the export of the crop for food security reasons, sets a zero export quota for the former three countries and 4.2 thousand tons for Kazakhstan. The decision aims to align unilateral export regulations and addresses the need to cancel any conflicting national measures in EAEU countries to prevent impacting mutual trade.
