Export of Egyptian strawberries breaks records

Egypt’s strawberry sector is poised for a historic export season, surpassing all previous expectations. Egyptian strawberry growers recently concluded the first half of the strawberry season with exceptional results. While the fresh strawberry season will extend into February, exports of frozen strawberries are expected to begin at that time. According to Amr Kadah, export director at Fruit.Farm, Egypt is preparing to export a higher quantity of strawberries than the previous season. This remarkable expansion is attributed to the increase in acreage dedicated to strawberry cultivation, which reached 70,000 acres this season.
