In 2022, the wheat flour export from the region around Moscow saw a significant increase, reaching 64,6 thousand tons. This is an eightfold increase in volume and over 6.5 times in value compared to the previous year. The majority of the exports were wheat-wheat flour, which increased ninefold compared to the previous year. Additionally, the export of coarse flour from other grains and corn flour also saw a substantial increase. At the national level, Russia's flour export also grew by 3.5 times, totaling 881 thousand tons. The largest importer of Russian flour was Georgia, which increased its purchases by 4.7 times in volume and six times in value, followed by Iraq, which increased its imports by 12 times in volume and 13 times in value. Afghanistan rounded out the top three importers.
