In Ukraine, the export of live cattle decreased by 38.2% in 8 months

In January-August 2024, Ukraine exported 8.4 thousand tons of live cattle, which is 38.2% less than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service. In monetary terms, exports of live cattle decreased by 32.1% in eight months, compared to the same period in 2023, to $14.8 million. Domestic live cattle were bought by Lebanon (97.8%) and Jordan (2.2%) during the eight months of this year. The import of live cattle in January-August 2024 amounted to 416 tons, which is 55.2% more than in the same period last year.
