Export of Ukrainian soybean meal to Poland increased in December despite the blockade

In December 2023/24, the Republic of Ukraine increased its export of soybean meal to 88,000 tons, which was 26% higher than in November and became the highest monthly figure in almost 4 years (since February 2020), IA APC-Inform analysts reported. Since the beginning of this season, more than 90% of the total export of this product has come to the land border, and the blockade of several checkpoints on the Polish and Slovak borders during December did not become an obstacle to the increase in shipments of meal to the main sales market - Poland, analysts say. Despite the strike, in December 2023, Poland imported the second largest monthly volume of Ukrainian soybean meal — 46 thousand tons (+11% until November), or 53% of the total export of this product from Ukraine.
