Argentine exports of Primary Products and Manufactures of Agricultural Origin saw a significant increase in January, totaling 3,495 million dollars, with the fishing sector accounting for 3.9% of this figure. This represents a 50.4% increase in primary product exports and a 3.1% increase in manufactured products. The fishing sector alone saw a 35.3% increase, exporting 26,041 tons worth 138 million dollars, mainly to Asia and Europe. Notably, squid sales rose by 143% compared to January 2023, with the average value of a ton being $2,438. However, sales in Thailand fell by 51% despite low prices.
