In the first quarter of 2021, Iran's agricultural exports, including pistachios, watermelons, tomatoes, apples, oranges, traditional milk powder, melons, and cocoa-free sweets, saw a 17.3% increase in weight but a 1.1% decrease in value, amounting to 2.4 million tons worth $ 1.22 billion. Watermelon exports led the list with $ 111.9 million, primarily to Iraq, the UAE, and Russia. Pistachios were the second largest export with $ 103 million, with India as the top buyer. Iraq was the leading recipient of Iran's overall agricultural exports.
