Exports of aquatic products to China set a record

As a neighboring country, China has long been one of Vietnam's three largest seafood export markets. However, the Covid-19 pandemic severely affected Vietnam's seafood export activities. Seafood businesses were in turmoil due to disrupted supply chains, with exports to the Chinese market dropping sharply, even "freezing" at times. Secretary General of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Processors and Exporters (VASEP) Nguyen Hoai Nam recalled the early months of 2021 when production and exports were stagnant.
