In 2022, Peruvian exports of frozen strawberries saw a decrease of 18.3% in value and 10.3% in volume compared to the previous year, with the United States being the primary market. The average price per kilogram also decreased by 8.96%. However, exports to Japan saw a growth of 62%. The report also highlighted that between 3,200 and 3,500 hectares of strawberries are planted in Peru, with the majority located in the Norte Chico region.
