In the first quarter of 2024, Uzbekistan experienced a significant increase in its vegetable and fruit exports, with a volume of 375.3 thousand tons, marking a 72.5% annual increase. These exports contributed $291.8 million to the country's total exports, a 20.7% increase from the previous year. The primary markets for these exports included Pakistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and China, accounting for nearly one-third of Uzbekistan's total exports in the first quarter. Notably, onion and cabbage exports saw substantial increases, while grape and mung bean exports experienced declines.
