Russia's Voronezh region has surpassed its 2023 target for the national project “International Cooperation and Export”, with a 31% rise in agricultural exports compared to 2022. This growth is largely due to a 6.5-fold increase in legume exports, which reached $33 million. Turkey was the main importer of chickpeas, while new markets for peas emerged in Denmark, China, Spain, Italy, and Turkey. The opening of the Indian market for Voronezh lentils also boosted legume exports.
