From January to May of this year, exports of honey, cane sugar, apple juice, and several regional products experienced growth due to the reduction in export duties. The main products, which included peaches, sheep meat, strawberries, coriander seeds, and flax seeds, saw the highest volume in the last 10, 5, and 3 years respectively. The main destination markets were the United States, Brazil, Spain, China, the Netherlands, and Russia, which accounted for 62.9% of the total value of regional exports. However, the total external sales of the food and beverages segment of the regional economies saw a decrease of 6.3% in value and 10.2% in volume, while the average price increased 4.4% due to climatic effects affecting production, particularly in lemons.
