In the first half of 2025, the state of São Paulo exported 81 thousand tons of sour lime (popularly known as Tahiti lime), with a revenue of US$ 72 million. In 2024, more than 1.1 million tons of Tahiti lime were harvested in the state, the largest producer in Brazil, with 70% of the fruit destined for export. The European market is the main destination for exports, with the Netherlands (62.2 thousand tons) standing out, serving as a gateway through the Port of Rotterdam for distribution to other countries in the bloc.
