In the first quarter of 2024, Peruvian maca exports experienced a slight decrease, generating US$ 4.13 million in revenue, which is a 4.4% drop compared to the previous year. The export portfolio saw varied trends across different product categories. While raw and gelatinized powder experienced a decline in sales, the extract and dry format witnessed a modest increase, and the dry format showed remarkable growth. However, capsules and innovative products witnessed significant reductions. Europe emerged as the leading market, followed by South America and North America, with each region showing diverse trends in maca product imports.
