The Government of Extremadura has paid over 7 million euros to 2,700 cattle farmers affected by Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease before the end of 2023, fulfilling their commitment. The aid, ranging from 200 to 7,000 euros per beneficiary, is being distributed through individual notifications processed through the LABOREO platform, and is subject to the de minimis regime. To qualify, farmers must have reported suspicion of EHE in 2023 and be listed in BADIGEX as of June 1, 2023, among other requirements.
