Fair winds for New Zealand avocado export season

Clear skies, abundant sunlight, stable temperatures, evenly distributed rainfall and minimal frost in the spring contributed to strong, healthy growing conditions for New Zealand avocado growers heading into the upcoming season. This was announced by New Zealand Avocado. The producer and vice president of the New Zealand Avocado Growers Association (NZAGA), Anne St. George, indicated that she is hopeful and very confident of obtaining a "good harvest and greater volumes to satisfy our main international markets." Along the same lines, Brad Siebert, CEO of New Zealand Avocado, noted that they are optimistic about the export season and the opportunities available. "Our growers work tirelessly to produce fruit that is not only delicious and nutritious, but also meets strict quality control measures," he added.
