November saw a notable increase in agricultural prices, with the indicator rising by 0.6 percent from October and 20.1 percent year-over-year. This increase was primarily driven by a surge in milk powder, butter, and cheese prices on a global scale. Whole milk powder prices experienced the most significant gain, attributed to a rebound in global demand and a seasonal dip in milk production in Western Europe. Butter prices have been on a consistent rise for the 14th month in a row, hitting a record high, due to strong domestic and international demand coupled with tight inventories, especially in Western Europe. Poland has seen a similar trend with milk purchase prices and butter prices reaching their highest since at least 2020, with a year-over-year increase of 39% to PLN 3,850.26/100 kg.
