The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with funding from Japan and France, has provided aid to 18,454 vulnerable families in Ukraine, including day-old chicks and starter feed, to address food security issues and help restore livelihoods. This initiative is part of the FAO's 2024 Emergency Response Plan, aiming to support war-affected households in Ukraine through sustainable agricultural production, strengthening household resilience, and promoting livelihood recovery. Since the beginning of the year, FAO has provided significant support to Ukraine's rural population, offering poultry, cash assistance, and other resources to improve food production and resilience amidst the challenges of the ongoing conflict and winter preparations.
