The U.S. Department of Agriculture reduced the forecast for global oilseed production for 2025–2026 (May–April) to 688.01 million tons from 691.55 million tons projected in September. The reduction of 3.54 million tons is mainly due to a decrease in soybean and sunflower production, partially offset by an increase in rapeseed and cotton production, according to the November issue of the report "World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates."
The Department did not publish its October report due to the U.S. government shutdown.
