FAO has not changed its forecast for the world grain harvest in 2023

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) left unchanged the estimate of world grain production this year – 2 billion 819 million tons. This is reported in her new report. The stable indicator is facilitated by its decrease for individual countries for wheat and feed grain, with the exception of corn and barley, for which the indicator has noticeably increased. At the same time, this is 0.9 percent or 26 million tons more than last year. The increase could be due precisely to the improvement in the collection of the main grain crop from some large and even small producing countries.
