The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) held its third training course on modern gardening techniques for Kyrgyz farmers from July 17 to 25, in collaboration with the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry. Funded by the FAO Technical Support Fund, the project aims to enhance efficiency and sustainability in horticulture through innovative practices. The training covered intensive gardening, new fruit and berry varieties, and pest control, and plans to train over 60 specialists. Additionally, new nurseries have been established for research and high-quality planting material propagation, with recommendations to be prepared for the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers to support sustainable horticultural development.
