FAPESP, ESALQ/USP, and Fundecitrus formalize the creation of the Citrus CPA in Piracicaba (SP)

National and international researchers unite against greening; network integrates science and innovation to protect orange groves Representatives from the São Paulo Research Foundation (Fapesp), the Superior School of Agriculture “Luiz de Queiroz” (Esalq), the University of São Paulo (USP), and the Citrus Defense Fund (Fundecitrus) signed, this Monday (12), in Piracicaba (SP), the agreement that formalizes the creation of the Applied Research Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Citriculture – CPA Citros, a strategic public-private partnership in benefit of one of the largest productive sectors of the national agribusiness. CPA Citros is born with the mission to develop scientific and technological solutions to face the main phytosanitary challenges of citriculture, especially greening, in addition to strengthening the sustainability of the production chain.
