Farmers and ranchers protest in Valencia against European agricultural policies and Mercosur.

A tractor protest took place in the center of the city of Valencia on Tuesday morning to protest against European agricultural policies and the Mercosur agreement. The demonstration was called by the independent platform of farmers and ranchers (Unaspi). The tractors marched from Constitution Avenue to Colón Street, honking their horns and displaying flags of Spain and the Valencian Community; and they ended their route on Xàtiva Street, in front of the North Station. According to the organizers, the protest is part of the mobilizations called by Unaspi and the agricultural movements in Europe, and has had the support of associations integrated into it, such as the Platform in defense of the farmers and ranchers of the Horta de València.
