"During the day, the flowers wilted, turned yellow prematurely, and dried out. There is no moisture at all in the meter-thick soil layer. And there were also frosts down to minus five degrees. So, there is practically no point in driving combines into the fields," commented Oleksandr. The farmer added that harvesting the crop will be more expensive than what can be earned from selling the grain.
