According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kaliningrad region, as of October 16, cereals and leguminous crops have been harvested from an area of 114.5 thousand hectares (87% of the planned 131.5 thousand hectares). The gross grain harvest amounted to 748.7 thousand tons, with an average crop yield of 65.4 centners per hectare. As of the reporting date, Kaliningrad farms have harvested almost 99% of the area under winter wheat (80.3 thousand hectares out of the planned 81.1 thousand hectares). Its gross harvest amounted to 567.3 thousand tons, with an average yield of 70.6 centners per hectare. Spring wheat has been harvested from 6.5 thousand hectares, or 96% of the sown area. The gross harvest reached 31.9 thousand tons with an average yield of 49.1 centners per hectare.
