Due to the warming trend, scientists advise shifting the sowing dates of winter cereals in the Lviv region to the second half of the optimal period. The reason is that from September 4 to 10, the Lviv region maintained an elevated temperature regime. The average daily air temperatures were within 16.1-21.8°C against a climatic indicator of 15.3°C. The amount of precipitation was 2 mm. Scientists add that it is very important not to move the permissible sowing dates (after October 10). "Too early autumn agrocenoses overgrow, are damaged by pests and diseases, become more weedy, and in winter, plants may fall out, which leads to a decrease in yield. With late sowing, they enter winter underdeveloped and under unfavorable wintering conditions, a certain percentage of deaths is also possible," commented the institute. ...
