Uzbekistan is planning to cultivate and harvest 4.11 million tons of potatoes in 2024 across 202.8 thousand hectares of land, with an anticipated yield of 203 centners per hectare. The country also intends to grow potatoes as a secondary crop on an additional 50 thousand hectares, using 150 thousand tons of seed potatoes. In the first four months of 2024, Uzbekistan saw a 43.3% increase in its fruit and vegetable exports, reaching 514.8 thousand tons with a total export value of $298.5 million, which accounted for 3.5% of the nation's total exports.
