The department is coordinating efforts with local offices and private farms to provide credit for fish feed and transport fish for sale. A total of 42 farmers, with 972 cages damaged, are receiving compensation and assistance according to the regulations for government advances for disaster victims. The Department of Fisheries is also providing survey and damage follow-up, monitoring for aquatic animal diseases, and public relations to aquaculture farmers in the affected areas.
