Poultry feed and raw material prices in Egypt have experienced a decrease, with broiler feed prices now ranging from 20,900 to 22,500 pounds per ton, and laying poultry feed prices ranging from 17,500 to 19,300 pounds per ton. The price of imported yellow corn, a key raw material, has also dropped to 12,250 pounds per ton. This decrease in prices is due to fluctuations in the global stock market, the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, and increases in global fuel prices, leading some producers to convert corn into fuel. The head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, noted that the fluctuation in poultry feed prices is influenced by the quality and protein percentage of the feed, as well as the cost of freight.
