Feed prices today, Thursday, 12-5-2024, in the markets of Egypt

On May 12, 2024, the local feed and raw material prices for poultry and other livestock experienced fluctuations due to various market conditions and global factors. The prices for broiler feed ranged from 18,500 to 21,900 pounds, while laying hens feed varied between 15,500 and 17,000 pounds. Cattle feed prices were set between 13,700 and 15,500 pounds. The cost of imported yellow corn, a crucial element in feed production, was quoted at 12,600 pounds, whereas Ukrainian, Serbian, and American corn were priced at 12,100 per ton.

Additionally, the article highlighted the price fluctuations in essential raw materials such as chopped cotton seeds, flax meal, coarse bran, soybean meal, sunflower meal, gelatin, soybean seeds, soybean husks, soybean waste, yellow corn, and white corn. The rise in these prices is primarily due to the global stock exchange trends, the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and the increase in global fuel prices, which have led major producers to convert corn into fuel. Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, the head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, stated that the prices for poultry feed vary between 19,500 and 22,000 pounds, depending on the quality, protein percentage, and freight costs included.
