Final report meeting for the 'Gangwon Rural Space Planning Model'

The Gangwon Regional Headquarters of the Korea Rural Community Corporation held the final report meeting on the development of a Gangwon-type rural space planning model on the 4th. This final report meeting was organized to share the final outcomes of the research service that presents the direction for establishing a Gangwon-type rural space plan reflecting the geographical and policy characteristics of the Gangwon region, as well as the utilization model of rural specialty areas linked with special provisions under the Gangwon Special Autonomy Act. The meeting was attended by local experts and rural space planning service contractors. The Gangwon Research Institute, the overall research agency, proposed a rural specialty area model linked with special provisions such as Gangwon's specialized resources, including abandoned mines, unused military land, and the legacy of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, as well as agricultural land, forests, and national defense.
