The article highlights the significant milestone achieved at Artvin's Deriner Dam, where the first Turkish salmon harvest was conducted. This event marks a crucial contribution to the province's economy and positions it as a key center for both energy production and fish farming. Under the leadership of Artvin Governor Dr. Turan Ergün, and with the initiative of female entrepreneur Eray Şeker, the project has seen impressive growth, starting with a production capacity of 500 tons and aiming for 100 tons from 24 cages this year. The high-quality water conditions of the dam have made it a prime location for salmon production, with the annual output valued at 1.4 billion liras and projections to reach 2 billion liras by 2024. The locally produced salmon is renowned for its quality, with high contents of oil, protein, and Omega-3, finding popularity in both the domestic market and international exports.
