Fish production in Egypt reaches 1.92 million tons during the current year

A report issued by the Fisheries Authority affirmed that Egypt's fish production currently has reached 1 million 920 thousand tons, of which 80% is from fish farming, 20% from natural fisheries, an increase of 100 thousand tons compared to last year, which reached 1 million 850 thousand tons. The report obtained by Al Mal pointed out that the reason for the increase in production is the spread of the culture of intensive fish farming in concrete ponds, as well as semi-intensive fish farming in order to optimize the use of our water resources and increase fish productivity.
