Russia: Fishermen call 2024 salmon catch worst since 2005

As the fishing season concludes, the organization notes that active fishing has stopped, revealing small catches and rising costs for salmon businesses. Over the last five years, fish product prices have increased by 1.5 times. Pink salmon, historically responsible for 60% of high catches over two decades, is now priced similarly to chum and sockeye salmon caviar, at around 7-8 thousand rubles per kilogram.
